Management guest lecturer: Robocop

I s* you not, Robocop actually taught my management class. That was back in the day when we had overhead projectors with big rolls of plastic sheets and eraseable markers. Actually a lot more interesting than PowerPoint. PowerPoint is dry and starting to become more and more soulless. If you go back to my Gettysburg Address post, you'll see some insight why.

Also reminds me of the first guy I ever saw in a flight suit with a "1000 hours" Powerpoint patch. Check out this guy's website for more outstanding PowerPoint wisdom. http://www.nbc-links.com/powerpoint.html

Judith Heitkamp talks about the fall of the Berlin Wall

Poly Sci 150 was one of my favorite classes, although I didn't know it at the time. Also, we had a cool German hepcat lady come in and lecture us. I had no idea of what was to come, but today I am a hell of a lot more interested in guest lecturers, news, history, and academic subjects then I was erstwhile. I wonder, "Why?"

University aims to save 'good words'

"Too often we limit ourselves to words that are momentarily popular or broadly applicable, and so rob ourselves of English's inherent beauty and agility," according to Wayne State University's logophile website, 'Word Warriors.' Word Warriors desires to resurrect old terms that may be withering from lack of use.
