Britain drowning in political correct ignominy

I have tried to give the U.K. the benefit of the doubt, but they are really hurting. I wonder how they got on the P.C. track. It's so bad, I feel obligated to post about it.

You almost don't even have to read the story - the headline is sufficient.

I love my U.K. brothers and sisters and I have 1/2 British blood. But is it really getting this bad in the U.K.?

Hey, we in the U.S. have no shortage of problems - with lawyers and political action committees directing their venom toward Boy Scouts and the last vestiges of our more idyllic times. Drunk illegals running down citizens or worse and nothing coming of it. Great sidebar article, on the "Wussification of America": http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23895377-13232,00.html
Excerpt:
GIVEN all that's been going on you probably haven't had time to read the six volumes of Edward Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and compare it to the US today.

, in a few words, Ed believed the Romans fell over because they had become weak and effeminate, unwilling to live a tougher, manly, military lifestyle. A study, just out, confirms that Ed was right about the Romans and the Americans.
[End excerpt.]

But still... this anti-nationalism is getting out of hand. As one commenter puts it, "The U.K. is running on life support."
Even James Bond, now portrayed by actor Daniel Craig, was compromised. He is on record saying that he would like to see 007 in a relationship with a man.
