Idiocracy: Eliminating exams in college

An acrimonious reader discusses cause and effect in regard to a story (LINK) about the trend of final exams disappearing at Harvard and elsewhere:

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Just a continuation of the downfall of the United States of America.
We are so totally LOST, I don't think we can ever find our way.
This country has no morals, and it shows. Corrupt politicians, corrupt business leaders, lazy teachers, lazy students, and we wonder why businesses are leaving in droves to go overseas?
The give-me-give-me generations have screwed up, because of political correctness. No right & wrong, we don't want to "offend"
anyone. It starts at home. No, don't spank your kids when they do something wrong, put them in time out. No, don't spank em at school, might upset their parents. Don't teach them right from wrong, might screw up their "development". Take all reference to god out of school. Kids grow up seeing violence as a video game.
Kids grow up not doing chores, not learning responsibility, then when they get into college, they get upset if they have to actually WORK for a grade. If they graduate, they "EXPECT" to START working for 60k or more a year, with free this, free that and a 500,000 dollar house. Kids today are spoiled rotten, and the parents are mostly to blame, but, society in general, and LIBERALISM is also partly to blame. The do your own thing crowd is as much responsible as the "evil corporations". THAT message has been planted into the brains of the youth, by the idiot professors that have their assistants do most of the teaching.

Tests cancelled.  People calling 911 about incorrect food orders.  People spending FEMA's disaster relief money on vacations and nudie bars.  Congress putting parochialism before common sense. The politics of victimization.  Welcome to Idiocracy, an elevation to cinematic form of our current order's endstate.
